Artistic mediation and presentation of the Catalog of Eco-Cultural Mediations at the San Isidro Labrador Campus

The ANID ATE230028 - Echoes of Climate Change Project, led by Dr. Enrique Mundaca and alternate director Mariana Lazzaro-Salazar, held a day of artistic mediation at the San Isidro Labrador Campus of the Universidad Católica del Maule, with the participation of students and beekeepers from Potrero Grande, one of the rural communities actively collaborating in the project.

The activity, conceived as a space for art, science and territory, allowed children and community members to share knowledge and experiences related to the natural landscape and local eco-cultural practices. Through creative workshops, participants explored the relationship between biodiversity, memory and climate change from a participatory and emotional perspective.

During the event, the Artistic Catalog of Eco-Cultural Mediations was also presented, a publication that brings together works, visual records and pedagogical resources born from the experiences carried out with rural communities. This catalog seeks to make creativity visible as a tool for environmental education and resilience, promoting the link between art, territory and sustainability.

"This experience allows us to bring science closer to the classroom and the territory, connecting new generations with the knowledge and trades that resist in our rural communities," said Dr. Enrique Mundaca, director of the project.

The meeting closed with a collective reflection on the importance of integrating art, education and community in the processes of adaptation to climate change, thus consolidating the project's commitment to building bridges between scientific knowledge, artistic expression and local knowledge.
